I've been a bit absent around here. I insist on waiting for inspiration to strike so that I can write a quality post. When I'm not inspired, I write and delete everything. So I decided to read more books this year because when I do, inspiration comes quickly.
It's already February! The arrival of 2018 has been eagerly awaited. We have lots of plans for this year. Big plans. Big risks.
And I want to talk about that today. What has happened in my life over and over again and has taught me the rules of the game. That made me come here to write.
Life is a big risk. Not necessarily a big one, but it is a risk. And no matter what dream a person has, in order to realize every dream there is a risk to be taken.
And that's when things, or rather the game of life, start to get interesting. Because in order to take risks, you have to know yourself well, but you can't know yourself well if you don't take risks. So what do we do?
Well, gain experience by making mistakes, getting to know yourself and taking risks. You see? One depends on the other. And the beauty of it all is that it doesn't matter when your dream will finally come true because the stage of comfort will always come and it's okay to stay there, but only in the short term, because it's the adventures that generate our growth.
You have to take risks. Taking risks means seeking fulfillment, which in turn means being open to change. This is the law of nature, the law of flow, of impermanence, and if we are not living according to this law, we are not genuinely happy.
"The desire for security confronts all great and noble endeavors." -Tacitus
